80m Feadship 826 yacht prepares for sea trials

The 80-metre Feadship 826 superyacht has been spotted cruising through the Netherlands as she prepares for sea trials. Launched from Feadship Kaag’s facility earlier this April, her construction began in 2023.

The highly secretive yacht was sold in June 2024 and was first seen publicly in April the following year. She features exterior design by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, with interiors by m2atelier and naval architecture developed in-house by De Voogt Naval Architects.

Designed with a strong emphasis on connection to the sea and sky, Thalassa features a low freeboard and uncluttered deck spaces. Her graphite-coloured hull contrasts with a cascading teak stern, while vertical teak detailing accentuates her superstructure.

Minimalist furnishings in a soft white palette are carried throughout the yacht, while the main and upper decks provide seamless fore-and-aft circulation. A winter garden enclosed by folding glass panels further enhances the indoor-outdoor living experience.

With an approximate volume of 1,953 GT, the Feadship 826 can accommodate up to 12 guests across six staterooms, supported by a crew of 15. The captain’s cabin and office are positioned on the bridge deck, offering full views over the yacht’s touch-and-go helipad, which also doubles as a pickleball court with removable netting.

One of Feadship 826's standout features is her expansive 165-square-metre beach club, reportedly fitted with the largest fold-out openings ever created by Feadship. This area extends 700-millimetres over the water. Open on three sides, the beach club connects directly to a watersports area, fitness facilities and a massage room. The gym combines cardio and weight-training equipment, alongside dedicated yoga and free-weight spaces.

In terms of performance, the Feadship 826 yacht is powered by twin MTU engines, delivering a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. She offers a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. Auxiliary electrical power is supplied by three Scania gensets housed within a soundproofed compartment, while two large tenders are stored in a forward garage.
